Ronald Gene Reonas

Ron retired from the U.S. Air Force as a Senior Master Sergeant after 27 years of service. Ron was a Civil Engineer Specializing in Generators and Electricity. During his Air Force Career he was stationed in Panama from 1984 to 1989, MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa from 1989 to 1991.

After Retiring from the Air Force in 1991, Ron continued his Electrical Engineering work at Johnson Controls at Kennedy Space Center. He retired from his work at the Space Center in 2007.

In his spare time, Ron’s passions were fishing, playing cards, traveling and his family.

Ron is survived by his sons Ronald and his wife Kristina of Jacksonville, FL and David and his wife

Shannon of Port St. John, FL; his brothers James and his wife Sandra and Doug and his wife Diane all of Jonesboro, GA; and his grandchildren Brianna Reonas, USMC and Carrisa Reonas of Valdosta, GA and close member of the family Michelle Owing.

Ron was preceded by his wife Kaye in 2009 and his parents James William and Katie Mae Reonas.

A memorial service with military honors will be held at 2p.m. Saturday, February 28, 2015 at Brevard Memorial Funeral Home in Cocoa. The family will receive friends at 1p.m.
