Steve was born in Courtdale, PA on October 6, 1924, graduated from Lake Township High School in 1942 and immediately enlisted in the Marines. As a Master Technical Sergeant in the Marine Air Warning Squadron 7, he was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for heroic service against enemy forces on Okinawa in June 1945.
After working in many different areas, including 12 years at the Ingersoll Rand in Painted Post, NY, owning a gas station and working at the Kennedy Space Center, he became an Electrician for the Brevard County School Board, where he retired after 15 years.
Steve is survived by his wife of 65 years, Helen and his son Jim (Jacqueline) Watlock and numerous nieces and nephews.
Steve is preceded in death by 7 sisters and 2 brothers.
A memorial service will be held at the First United Methodist Church of Titusville on May 10, 2013 at 4PM.
