A member of First Baptist of Cocoa for 58 years, Teresa was a Mom and Maw Maw who had a deep love for family and the Lord.
She worked in the schools to be close to her children and to be home in time to have supper on the table. Her daughters remember the home toni perms and the seamstress who smocked their toddler dresses and made their prom gowns, often sewing late into the night.
An accomplished cook, Teresa later used her many talents in business by expanding W.A. Stevens to include Cakes and Catering. As business owner for 28 years, she worked until she was needed at home to care for her husband of 46 years.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, three brothers, and the love of her life, Harry and her dog Mickey. She is survived by her brother, Pat Thomas and children; Brenda Johnson, Steven English, Sylvia Myers Seymour, Kimberly Hinton, Donna Dempsey and many grand and great grand children.
Services will be held at Brevard Memorial Funeral Home, Sunday, September 13 with a visitation at 2pm and a service to begin at 3pm. Reception following interment from 4:30-8:00pm at Kimberly Hinton's home. Donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Cocoa.
