Vera Jean Bird

Jean lived in Cocoa for fifty years and came from Colorado in 1965. She was the daughter of the

late Edward S. Strange and Laura Hills Strange and was born on September 21, 1928.

She is survived by her husband Claud Edward Bird - they were married for 70 years; 4 sons -

Kurtis Bird (Linda) of Cocoa; Dwight Bird (Debra) of Las Cruces, New Mexico; Rick Bird (Pam) of Cocoa,

and Kevin Bird (Glenna) of Castle Rock, Colorado, and sister Virginia Lassiter. Vera has 9 grandchildren,

17 great grandchildren , and 2 great-great grandchildren.

She was a member of the Rockledge Christian Center. She was a devoted wife, loving christian mother

and grandmother. She taught Sunday School for years and she liked playing the piano and organ. Vera

loved spending time with her family. She is gone from this world, but lives on in our hearts and memories.

There will be a Visitation on Thursday evening, April 16th from 5-7:00pm at Brevard Memorial Funeral Home -

5475 N. U.S. Highway #1 in Cocoa and a Funeral Service will be held on Friday, April 17th at 11:00am

at Rockledge Christian Center. Entombment will follow at Brevard Memorial Park - 320 Spring Street,

Cocoa.
