Frances Jane Bridgeman Coleman

Frances J. Coleman, 84, of Coldwater, passed away Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at her home. She was born October 26, 1929 in Detroit to Joseph A. and Violet J. (MacDermott) Bridgeman. Frances married Claude W. Coleman on August 17, 1963.

Frances had a gracious spirit and she loved her family. She is survived by her husband, Claude, her children; Steve Coleman of White Lake, MI, Debbie Coleman of Detroit, Renee Coleman of Lansing. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Thomas Bridgeman, sisters, Aileen Dye, Alice Heath and Betty Swirles.

Frances was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Coldwater. She was very involved in the activities of the church, as a Deacon and an Elder. She was part of the quilting group that met at the church and created many children’s items. She also created the beautiful banners which hang in the church today. She also belonged to a professional sorority.

Services will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with one hour of visitation prior to the service at the First Presbyterian Church, 52 Marshall Street, Coldwater, MI with Rev. Rene’ Whitaker officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, Coldwater, MI in lieu of flowers.
