

Helen M. Cook, 90, of Coldwater, passed away Saturday, March 15, 2014 at the Community Health Center of Branch County. She was born June 27, 1923, in St. Joseph, Ohio to Myron J. and Winifred (Richardson) Livingston. She married Kenneth F. Cook, September 8, 1945 in Mogadore, Ohio. He survives.
Helen had worked as a cook in the Coldwater Schools hot lunch program from 1961to 1976 and she worked in housekeeping at the Coldwater Regional Center retiring in 1984.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth, children; Brian (Penny) Cook of Quincy, David (Kristine) Cook of Coldwater, Gary (Su Sheldon) Cook of Stevensville, Karen (Conrad) Scholl of Jackson and son-in-law, Kenneth Pierucki of Coldwater, 16 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Cheryl Pierucki, June 13, 1995, 2 brothers, a sister and her parents.
Helen enjoyed crafts, sewing, reading, traveling and especially spending time with her family. She was a member of the Merry Mixers Square Dance Club for the past 32 years, the Coldwater United Methodist Church, the Battle Creek Square & Round Dancing Association and a volunteer at the Coldwater Library.
Visitation will be Wednesday, March 19, 2014 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Putnam Funeral Home in Coldwater. Funeral services will be Thursday, March 20, 2014 at 12:00 p.m. at the Coldwater United Methodist Church with Rev. Steve Young officiating. Interment will take place at Ft. Custer National Cemetery at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Coldwater United Methodist Church or Maple Lawn Medical Care Facility.
