"Jas", as she was affectionately called, was born to Kristi Handley and Jermaine Brown, Sr. on April 18, 1998 in Austell, Georgia. She was educated in the Atlanta Public and Carroll County School systems, graduating from Temple High School in 2016. Jas excelled in her studies and was a participant in the dual enrollment program with the University of West Georgia.
Jas enjoyed dancing, shopping, and spending time with those close to her. She recently moved onto campus at the University of West Georgia, majoring in Computer Science, where she continued to be "lit" and live life to the fullest. Her bubbly personality, warm eyes, and infectious smile instantly made people feel the love she had for everyone.
On June 9, 2017 God decided that heaven needed a little more light, so He brought his star to her heavenly home. Jasmine's light will forever shine in the hearts and memories of: her parents - Ms. Kristi Handley and Mr. Jermaine Brown, Sr; her grandparents - Mrs. Betty Handley, Mrs. Ruby Marshall, and Mr. Larry Handley, Sr.; her siblings - Jordan M. Smith, Ariel M. Brown, Jermaine "Ty" Brown, and Chermaine N. Brown; her aunts and uncles - Mrs. Melissa Jackson, Mrs. Earlisha Brown (Joe) Walker, and Mr. Larry (Desiree) Handley, Jr.; and a host of other family, friends, and loved ones.
Rest in peace, Jas. May you forever be “lit”.
