Kevin was reared in the Bowen Homes Community and attended A.D. Williams Elementary School and Fredrick Douglas High School. As a child, Kevin was very energetic and outgoing. One of his favorite pastimes was playing baseball in high school.
Kevin graduated from Douglas High School. He then went on to work at St. Joseph Hospital and Jilly's restaurant for many years. Later in life, Kevin started his own produce business "Mathis Produce" at the State Farmers Market in Forest Park, Ga.. He also had over 10 Smoothies King's that he delivered to each week.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, April 8, 2017 at 11:00 am at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 5755 Mallory Road, College Park, Ga 30349. Interment will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens .
Family will receive friends Friday, April 7, 2017 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Forest Lawn Funeral Home.
