

Mary was born March 15, 1935 to the late John L and Mae L. Slaughter in Buena Vista, GA.
Mary accepted Christ in her life at a very early age.Mary attended Fellowship School in 1951 and decided to move to Atlanta, Ga to start a career. In 1952 she decided to move to New York City. She lived, worked, and began her family there.In 1960 Mary decided to make Atlanta, GA her home. She worked hard and bought her a new house. She traveled to Greece, Rome, Israel, and England. She fed the homeless and would help anyone in need. She enjoyed her life.Mary was preceded in death by her son Stanley L. Williams, one sister Willie Bell, and three brothers Emmitt, Bill, and Buck.Mary leaves to cherish in loving memory her daughter Faylonta, one sister Gladys; two brothers Genus and McAuthor; two sisters -in-law: Annie R. and Evelyn; two grandsons Albert Nelson III, Ameer (Nakibia) Nelson; three granddaughters Aesha Nelson, Aaliyah (Randy) Anderson and Crystal McCrory; five great grandchildren Aniyah, Ameer, Amadi, Jordin Evans and Amonei and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and close family and friends.
