Mildred was born on January 21, 1943, in Augusta, GA, and raised in Atlanta, GA where she graduated from Washington High School. She later moved to College Park, GA, where she obtained a degree in business management and was a dedicated, loving, and devoted mother to her three children.
Mildred was a Breast Cancer Survivor that lived a fulfilling life. Our family’s first entrepreneur, she had a passion for collectibles and trinkets and opened her booth at the flea market to sell them! She had a green thumb and loved tending to her flowers, reading books, completing word search puzzles, and watching the Price is Right, her stories, Survivor, Amazing Race and Big Brother, and several TV Evangelists were her favorites, but the News and Lottery numbers were most important lol! Mildred loved music, with the right song she would shake a leg!
Mildred was full of laughter, unique words, and knowledge, she loved sharing what she knew. Mildred was a kind and generous soul, always calling to see how you were doing. She always wanted to make sure everyone was alive and well. Mildred believed in God, was very spiritual, and kept the family covered in prayer. Mildred's love and compassion extended to all who knew her, and she will be remembered for her infectious smile and warm caring personality.
Mildred is predeceased by her son Michael Lupoe, her mother Eva Mae Hampton, her father Lindsey Holmes Sr, her brother Lindsey Holmes Jr, and her sister Lindsey Mae Holmes. Mildred’s legacy lives on in her two children Johnny Alan (Frances) Lupoe and Sonja Lupoe.
