Mildred Brown Thompson age 95, of Jonesboro formally of College Park passed away April 28, 2017. She Was Born Sept. 20, 1920. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Gene Thompson and her youngest sister, Becky Stewart. MIldred graduated from Russell High in in 1938. She was married 1940 She was a member of the ladies auxiliary of the VFW and American Legion. Surviving are children, Larry Thompson ( Beverly), Cumming, Sherryl Roman (Steve), Jonesboro, David Thompson (Becky), Monticello, brother, Charles Brown, Jefferson, sister, Mary Hipp, Brooksville, FL, seven grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday, May 1, 2017 at 1:00pm at Forest Lawn Funeral Home 5755 Mallory Rd. College Park, GA 30349. Interment Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
