
Rena was preceded in death by four of his siblings, two brothers; Morris Lampkin, Russell Lampkin, and two sisters; Valerie Lampkin and Cynthia Lampkin.
Rena accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior under the spiritual leadership of Rev. Dr. Clayton E. Taylor of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church. Rena always kept an open heart toward the homeless and very supportive of those in need.
Rena attended Atlanta Public schools and was a graduate of West Fulton High School, Class of 1973. He was known for his running abilities in school, which earned him a track scholarship to Cumberland College. Rena was a skilled craftsman in which he earned several certifications during his career.
Rena's career spanned for over forty years; in which Rena showed his entrepreneur shills when he opened "Top of the Line Auto Body Paint and Repair" shop. He was employed by several companies from General Motors, where he spent years, to his last employment with Geiger International for 20 years.
Rena married the love of his life and high school sweetheart, Mary Copeland-Lampkin on June 30, 1975. Their union of 45 years were blessed with two loving daughters.
Rena leaves to embrace his memory, beloved wife, Mary C. Lampkin, two daughters; Enechi (Diego) Eberhart of Union City; Brittany Lampkin of Union City; a God-son, Corey Copeland of Riverdale; two brothers, Clarence Lampkin, Jr. of Atlanta, Reginal (Andrea) Lampkin of Decatur; stepmother, Mrs. Dorothy Lampkin of Decatur, mother-in-law, Mrs. Annie R. Copeland of Union City; brother in-law/bestie, Willie (Tammy) Copeland of Fayetteville; four sisters-in-law, Belinda C. Scott of Atlanta, Jefforey (Wil) Murphy of Atlanta, Tamika Copeland of Union City, Cassandra Lampkin of Atlanta, and a plethora of relatives that includes nieces, nephews and friends.
