

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday April 2 at Memorial Funeral Chapel in College Station with Pastor Jonathan Poe officiating. Interment will follow at College Station Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time.
Al was born May 28, 1929 in Beaumont the son of E.D. and Hazel (Tanniehill) Williams. He proudly served our country in the U.S. Navy and Air Force for 12 years. Al never met a person he didn’t like or a person he couldn’t talk to and his endeavors after leaving the service played right into his love of people from his first job as a salesman for Gilbert X-Ray to his last, before retiring, as the business owner of Williams Lube King.
Al is preceded in death by his parents; and a son, David Williams.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Garland Williams of College Station; sons and daughters-in-law, Don and Lori Williams and Douglas and Diane Williams all of College Station; brother and sister-in- law, Jack and Roseanne Brown of Conroe; half-sister, Janis Nichols; grandchildren, Matthew Monroe, Christopher Williams and wife Sara, Katy Williams and Kelly Williams; great-grandchildren, Tatum Williams, Braden Williams and Victoria Monroe.
