We were so sorry to hear of Darrel's death.I still remember him as he was in high school--full of fun and energy. He was one of my mother's favorites. Please know you will be in our prayers in the days ahead.

Oh, Marilyn, I was so sad to hear about Darrell's passing. How sweet he always was as we were growing up. I have such fond memories of your early days dating him when y'all were in high school - we thought you were the most perfect couple ever!!! Linda and I just loved that. The miles kept us from seeing each other very often through the years, but please know that I always thought he was a wonderful person. Hugs and love to you and the girls. Marilyn, Alice, Susan, & Dara I am so sad to hear about Darrells passing. I will miss him very much. It won't be the same honking as I passed by the house on my way to work. I loved hearing about his fishing, where they went and how many fish they caught. It won't be the same ordering caps and making sure we get the kind Darrell liked. He was one of the sweetest men I knew and he will be missed.

My sincerest sympathy to Marilyn and the entire Davis family.  Our FedStar Credit Union Board of Directors mourns his loss as our Chairman. His long-time commitment to credit union members was genuine.  May Darrel rest in peace, and may you, his family members, know how very much we appreciated his leadership.

Please know our thoughts and prayers of comfort extend to all. Darrell will be remembered for his influence and strength of character throughout my career.

We are so shocked and saddened by this news. So many fond memories of Monopoly, bridge, dinners, and chocolate pies! We'd been hoping to reconnect now that Jay and family are in CS. We love you, Marilyn.

Our condolences to your family.  Like Ken, I fondly recall the days fishing with Darrel.  It was so much fun and I learned so much about fishing.  The memories of those good times together mean a lot to me.

Our thoughts and prayers are with your family.  I have wonderful memories of Darrel taking me and my brother Rick fishing at Lake Somerville to catch white bass and hybrids.  The knowledge and skills he shared were eagerly absorbed by a couple of young fishermen.  Rick and I have continued fishing together over the years, and often hearken back to our early experiences with Mr Davis.

Mr. Davis was one of the funniest, nicest men we have ever known. We were blessed to know him. I know my husband loved playing softball with him when we were in college. He always had an encouraging word to say, even when it was disguised as a joke. I know his family will miss him. Hugs and prayers to Mrs. Davis and his girls.
