

Dianne D. Jones, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt passed away peacefully in a local hospital on February 23, 2023. She was born in Gulfport, Mississippi on April 21, 1951, to Lloyd Albert Daniel and Betty Lou (Butler) Daniel. Her family moved to Houston in 1957, and she graduated from Spring Woods High School in 1969.
Dianne gave herself to the Lord and was baptized in Woodhaven Baptist Church in Houston Spring Branch. Throughout her life she continued her walk with the Lord, growing ever closer, until He took her hand and gently brought her with Him into Heaven. She loved music and was a member of the Choir and Glory land singers at Christ Church. The Lord was first in her life. She touched many lives in ways we never knew. Family was extremely important to her and her family looked to her for love, guidance and direction. She was adored by her grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Dianne was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Daughters of the Republic of Texas, National Society US Daughters of 1812, and Order and Founders of North America 1492-1692.
Dianne was preceded in death by her father, Lloyd Albert Daniel; mother, Betty Lou Butler; and brother, Kevin Albert Daniel. She is survived by husband of 30 years James, T. Jones, Jr.; son, James L. Jones; daughter, Cynthia Rimmer; granddaughters, Lauren Rimmer and Kaitlin Rimmer; great-grandson, Anthony Williams; sister, Sherry Loydene Hall; brother, Lloyd Keith Daniel; along with numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
The family is forever thankful for the care, compassion, and love she received from the Doctors, Nurses, and Staff at Baylor Scott & White ICU. They were truly amazing.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday, March 2, 2023, at Memorial Funeral Chapel College Station. A graveside service for the family will be held on Friday, March 3, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Memorial Oaks Cemetery, 13001 Katy Freeway in Houston, Texas. Pallbearers will be Anthony Williams, Ryan Gilmore, John Hall, Don Hall, Travis Daniel and Alberto Maldonado. A Memorial Service and Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Christ Church, 4201 State Highway 6 S, College Station, Texas.
