

Edith J. Marino, 84 passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 9, 2014, at St. Joseph Manor in Bryan. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, at Memorial Funeral Chapel in College Station. Interment will follow at the Memorial Cemetery of College Station.
Edith was born in the Rio Grande Valley in Raymondville, Texas on June 28, 1930 but her heart and passion was in Aggieland and for the University that she served for 28 years in facilities and custodial services. She loved God, family and her Aggies. She was an avid Aggie football fan and always considered it an honor to maintain the MSC guestrooms and the Board of Regents offices during her long service to Texas A&M. She will not only be missed by her family but by the numerous former students and staff she worked with and befriended during her long employment.
She is survived by her children, Sue Matejka, C.B. Marino, Roger and Jane Marino Reed, John and Sheila Marino Sears, Joe Marino, Pauline Marino, Ed and Sammie Marino Mouser and grandchildren, John Charles Matejka, Michael Matejka, Steven Matejka, Chris Marino, Jennifer Marino, Russell D. Marino Reed, Sheila Reed Morrison, Misty Yeates Walker, Vanessa Gomez and Anthony Marino, ten great- grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces.
She is preceded in death by her husband Benedetto (Ben) Marino, son-in-law Charles Matejka and her parents.
