

Eloise was born in Fort Stockton, West Texas Feb 11, 1934 and joined her Lord and her husband Melvin Bingham on May 23, 2026. Eloise knew growing up that she wanted to be a mother. She moved to Piedmont as a little girl and finished high school in Navasota.
In the eleventh grade, Eloise went to the New York Store and applied for a job. She became a sales girl and eventually a bookkeeper there but more importantly, she met her husband, Melvin at the store. She later was employed by J.C. Penny as a buyer / salesperson.
She and Melvin got married when Eloise was 18 at the Church of Christ in Navasota. She has 4 children, 6 grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
Eloise and her husband also took in troubled children as part of their work with their church. She was in fact, so dedicated to helping her community she was given the Jefferson award for service.
Eloise did jail ministry for 20 years and said that her faith and her family were the most important things in her life. She referred to Proverbs 31 as the type of woman that she aspired to be.
"Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. Honor her for all that her hands have done, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate."
Visitation will be held at Memorial Funeral Chapel - College Station, 2901 Texas Avenue South, College Station, Texas 77845, on June 5, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
A funeral service will be held at Central Church of Christ, 1600 E. 29th Street, Bryan, Texas 77802, on June 6, 2026, at 10:00 am.
