

Golda Florence McDonald Cole, 91, of College Station, passed away on Thursday December 28, 2017. Visitation is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday January 1, 2018 at Memorial Funeral Chapel in College Station. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. on January 2, 2018 at New Church Cemetery in Edge.
Golda was born September 12, 1926 to Ruben and Ollie McDonald. Upon Retirement from Texas A&M University, she enjoyed fishing and spending time at the lake with her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Ray Cole; her parents; brothers, Norman, Harry, and Foy McDonald; sisters, Grace Henry, Ruth Boatcallie, and Faye Jolly; grandson, Kevin Cole and daughter-in-law, Georgia Cole.
Survivors include her two sons and daughters-in-law, Dennis and Jo Ann Cole of Millican, David Cole and Mary Lynn Hegar of Millican; a brother, Kenneth McDonald of California; sister, Mabel Moon of College Station; two grandsons, Michael Chad Cannon of College Station and Brandon Cole and his wife Kelly of Fort Worth; three granddaughters, Katie Cole Buckley of Wellborn, Kimberly Cole of Dallas, and Jenna Cole Rosier and her husband Kevin of Wellborn; four great-grandchildren, Austin Buckley, David L. Rosier, Alexis Rosier, and Corbin Buckley.
The Cole family would like to thank Angela Brisher, Emily Fisher and the staff of Encompass Hospice for their warm and personal care of Golda during her last few months.
