

The funeral service will be held at 2 pm Sunday, May 27th at Memorial Funeral Chapel in College Station. Visitation will take place from 9 am to 2 pm on Sunday at the funeral home. A graveside service will follow at Willowhole Cemetery in North Zulch, Texas at 4 pm.
She was born to the late Otis Marion and Rosa Bentley Reynolds on November 15, 1918 in Canadian, Texas. She graduated from Abilene Christian Academy and later attended Abilene Christian College. At ACC, she met the late Monroe Wilson Dowell who she married in 1939. Over the years, June and Wilson lived in Lake Jackson, Houston, College Station, and other cities during Wilson’s tenure with Dow Chemical Company. In 2000, June relocated to Washington State to be near her daughter Lynne and family. She taught English and porcelain art classes for many years. She also ran Dowell Jewelry in Lake Jackson. She loved painting, water coloring, oil painting, and china. She enjoyed spending her time in the community with local painters and was involved with the Brazos Valley Porcelain Art Club. June loved to paint landscapes, flowers, still life, and other scenes of nature.
June is preceded in death by her husband Wilson Dowell; her parents; and her brother C.A. “Lefty” Reynolds.
June is survived by her sister, Ruth Eloise Carruthers of Abilene; her son Bob Dowell and his wife Theresa, both of Bellingham, Washington; her daughter Lynne Williams and her husband Don, both of Woodinville, Washington; grandsons James Williams and his wife Julianne, of Oxford, England; Thomas Williams of Seattle, Washington; John Williams of Woodinville, Washington, and Mark Williams of Woodinville, Washington; granddaughter Jana Kimberling and her husband Paul, both of Atlanta, Georgia; and two great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Olivia Kimberling; and numerous nieces and nephews.
