

From a young age she attended Roans Chapel Baptist Church and was baptized there. In her adult life Katies was a member of Roans Chapel Baptist Church. She worked on the Ushers Board Ministry.
Katie had 4 children: Larry Bagsby of Dallas, TX; Dorothy Simon of Ft. Worth, TX; Eddie Hall of Ocean Shores, WA; and Melva Jean Hall. She had 6 grandchildren (Anthony Hall, Patrick Hunter, Melvin Jones, Joshua Hall, Nikkia Hall, and Chiquita Williams), 12 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.
In her young adult life Katie performed domestic work. She received a Nurse’s Aide Certificate from the Methodist Hospital in Lubbock, TX. In the 1970’s she performed domestic work in Seattle, WA and Denver, CO. In 1981 she worked for Texas Instrument. In 1987 she attended Texas A&M’s Food Services Bakery Seminar. From 1987 to 1992 she worked at South Knowles Elementary School as a baker. From 1992 until she retired, she worked as a domestic engineer.
She was pre-deceased by her daughter Melva Jean; 3 sisters Mary Howard, Deloris Brown and Leila Perry; and 3 brothers Ronald Hall, Curtis Hall, and Paul Hall.
Left to mourn her death are her children Dorothy with husband Cedric, Eddie with wife Valorie, her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; her sisters Marie Carroll and Doris Hall and brother James Hall; a host of nieces, nephews and relatives; and close friends.
