Sandra Doss "Sandy" Hamilton

Sandra Doss “Sandy” Hamilton, age 77, passed away on February 25, 2017. Sandy was born to Willburr Clyde Doss and June Myers Doss in Tulsa, Oklahoma on April 27, 1939. She graduated from Tulsa Central High School in 1957 and attended the University of Tulsa. Sandy was a Tulsa University Varsity Cheerleader and a member of the Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority.

During her time at Tulsa University, Sandy met her husband, Francis Boyd “Bud” Hamilton. They were married on September 2, 1961 and shortly thereafter moved to Houston. In 1965, they moved to Louisiana and in 1966 their son, Jeff, was born in Lafayette. In 1975, Sandy’s husband, Bud, was transferred to London, England. While living in England they were able to travel to many countries in Europe, the Middle East and Asia. In 1980, they moved back to Kingwood, TX, eventually settling down in the Conroe area.

Sandy enjoyed cooking, writing and creating many types of arts and crafts. She loved to entertain and spend time with her friends and family. She enjoyed volunteering throughout the years and especially at Montgomery United Methodist Church. She and Bud took over 20 cruises and traveled around the world. One of her favorite pastimes was cheering on her grandkids at their many activities.

Sandy is preceded in death by her father, Willburr Doss and mother, June Doss. Sandy is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Bud Hamilton; son, Jeff Hamilton and his wife, Julie of College Station, TX; 3 grandchildren, Jessica, Jonathan and Jack; brother, Sonny Doss and his wife Clara of New Hampshire; nephew, Bill Doss; nieces, Kathy Kauffmann, Jenn Robinson, Debbie Manley, Leisa Hamilton and Gayle Crabtree.

A celebration of Sandy's life will be 11 :00 AM, Saturday, March 4th, 2017 at Christ United Methodist Church in College Station.

If friends desire, memorials may be made in Sandy's honor to Montgomery United Methodist Church.
