

William Troy Waters, 24, passed away June 6, 2006 in a tragic motorcycle accident. He was born October 2, 1981 in Henderson, North Carolina. Troy graduated from Medina Valley High School in Castroville where he proudly served with the Army Reserves during his junior and senior years. He was also a member of the Mico Volunteer Fire Department. He graduated from Texas A&M University in 2006 with a degree in Renewable Natural Resources and Forestry. He was a member of the Corp of Cadets, in Company L-1; a member of Rudder's Rangers; and the Parson Mounted Cav where he was a Trooper, Muleskinner and Platoon Leader. Troy worked for 2 years at McCoy's College Station, TX. Troy was due to be commissioned on June 9, 2006 into the U.S. Army as a 2nd LT.He is survived by his parents, Bill and Nancy Waters of Floresville; brother, Bart Waters of Ft. Lewis, Washington; sister, Holly Marie Waters of Floresville; girlfriend, Meredith Low of Houston; grandparents, David and Norma Logan of Minden, LA., and Edith G. Waters of Lebanon, TN.; aunts and uncles, Jenny Lou and Larry Hallums, Anne Waters, Mick and Leslie Logan, Lori and Clive Collier, Marc and Paula Logan and Robin Logan. His cousins include Tracey Hallums and Brad Hallums; Schuyler, Brocky and Seth Collier; Lucas Logan, Elise Logan Archie and Kit Logan.Troy is preceded in death by his fraternal grandparents William (Bill) G. Waters, Sr and Mary Porter Eatherly Waters.Visitation will be held 5-8 p.m. Thursday at Memorial Funeral Chapel in College Station.
