Wilma was born in Newton County, Mississippi to John Van Gressett and Kate Mae Gibbon Gressett on December 22nd, 1933. She was preceded in death by her husband George Carl Green and her daughter Sandra Lynn Smith (Jere). She is survived by her son Phillip Carl Green (wife Sheila Green), daughter Mary Helen Green, grandchildren David Patrick Smith (wife Brandi Smith) (Dylan), Michael Christopher Smith, Cassidy Green Sedano (husband Miguel Sedano), Marissa Green Ammons (husband Dustin Ammons), Diana Green, Phillip George Green, Randy Wilkinson, Ryan Green, and numerous great grandchildren.
Wilma grew up in Mississippi and raised her family in Texas. She later moved to North Carolina to be closer to her son. She had a generous spirit and a quirky sense of humor. Wilma enjoyed reading, art, and puzzles. She was active in her community and volunteered often.
A viewing will take place on November 4th, 2021 at 1pm at Memorial Funeral Chapel in College Station, Texas. A graveside service will follow at College Station Cemetery at 2pm. She will be dearly missed by her family.
