

Doc was born on January 28, 1952 in West Columbia, Texas. He was the son of Melvin and Faye Davis.
Doc was raised with one sister Susan and one brother Allen. Alan was usually involved in all sorts of activities with his siblings. He and his siblings shared many life experiences over the years.
Doc graduated from McGregor High School.
Doc exchanged wedding vows with Melinda Ellen Dodd. They were married for 38 years.
Doc worked hard to be a good father to his children and he did his best to fulfill their needs. Doc was blessed with three sons, Brent, Brandon, and Matt. Another blessing for Doc was the gift of four grandchildren, Colton, Alexa, Bryaden, and Molly.
Fortunately, Doc enjoyed what he did for a living. Showing a strong work ethic, Alan worked diligently and did his best to succeed in his career. Doc served as an IT Manger with several Fortune 500 Companies. He took pride in not being just a manager but a team builder and leader. He was well like and respected by his peers and will be greatly missed.
Doc was an Air Force Veteran. He truly loved and respected all Service Men and Women.
Doc passed away on December 16, 2016 in Fort Worth, Texas. Doc is survived by his loving wife Mindy of 38 years, 3 sons and their wives; Brent and Amy Davis, Brandon and Teresa Davis; Matt and Lauren Davis. Grandchildren Colton Davis, Alexa Davis, Bryaden Davis and Molly Davis. Brother Allen Dale Davis, wife Mary Ellen and niece Sarah Davis, sister Susan Timberly Randall, nieces Shellie Carnley and Crysti Randall, Aunt Sue Havlik, Cousins Burlon and Paul Murray, with many other family members and friends.
Services were held at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Colleyville, Texas. Alan was laid to rest in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park in Colleyville, Texas.
Doc was an individual who will be remembered by his family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Doc leaves behind him a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. He was extremely proud to be an American and Texan. Doc possessed a great sense of humor and quick wit. Everyone whose life he touched will always remember Alan "Doc" Davis.
