Annie Hunter Smith

Annie H. Smith, age 87, passed away peacefully. She was a resident of Hurst, Texas for 34 years. Born on January 26th, 1938, in Kinross, Scotland, Annie was raised in her hometown, where she attended Kinross High School.

Annie was united in marriage to Jack Smith on a beautiful October day in Benghazi. It was there that Jack, serving in the British army, met Annie, who was with her father, Colonel Robert Alcorn. Their love story blossomed in the warm Mediterranean climate and led to a loving partnership.

Annie devoted herself to her family, cherishing her roles as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She found immense joy in simple pleasures, with a profound passion for knitting, reading, writing, math, English, and American sports.

Annie is survived by her son Glenn and his wife Sylvia; her twin daughters Maureen and Barbara, along with Barbara’s husband Keith; her grandson Andrew and Michelle Smith; her granddaughter Gemma Kelley and Brandon; her granddaughter Amy Mcgregor; and her grandsons Stuart Smith, Jordan Winstead, and Rory Myers. She also leaves behind her great-grandchildren Tristan, Jaxon, Matalynn, Liam, George, London, Parker and Greenlee.

Annie's legacy is one of love, dedication, and passion, which will be carried on by her family and all who knew her.

A funeral for Annie will be held Friday, February 28, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home, 5725 Colleyville Blvd, Colleyville, TX 76034.

A committal will occur Friday, February 28, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:15 PM, 5725 Colleyville Blvd, Colleyville, TX 76034.

A reception will occur Friday, February 28, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, 5725 Colleyville Blvd, Colleyville, TX 76034.
