Barbara K. Gornowicz Foster

Celebration of life service will be held at First Baptist Church Euless on Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at 1:00 p.m.

Barbara was born in Bay City, MI on February 17, 1941 and moved to Texas with her family in 1951. In 1959 she graduated from Brazosport High School in Freeport, Texas and married Gene Foster on June 12. She was a devoted follower of Jesus Christ and long- time member of First Baptist Church Euless. She participated in many mission trips, taught many children about God's love and mentored many believers. She enjoyed Precept Bible Studies and was a faithful witness to Christ. Barbara was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great- grandmother. She was happiest when surrounded by her family. She loved to cook for her family and friends and spend hours sharing their company. The final night of her life in this age was spent surrounded by the sounds of her beloved family. Her final morning included Bible reading and prayer. By her own testimony, she was ready to see Jesus.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, Dolph and Betty Gornowicz.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Gene Foster, sons Dr. Richard Foster and Karen of Camden, AR, Darryl Foster of Keller, TX, daughters Melinda and Gordon McQuillin of Lake Dallas, TX, Debra and Darin Wylie of Arlington, TX, brother Virgil and Genease Gornowicz of Liberty, MO; grandchildren Colby and Andria McQuillin, Ashley Wylie, Matthew McQuillin, Anna Wylie, Alyson Wylie and Andrew Foster; great-grandson Finnley McQuillin; nephews, nieces, and many beloved friends.
