

Billy O. Hart, of Colleyville, Texas, passed away due to complications from his 7 year Alzheimer’s battle on Saturday, December 28th, surrounded by his family. He will always be remembered as a fun loving, devoted husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend to all that knew and loved him. He was born on November 16, 1944 in Greenville, Texas to L.J. and Annie Jo Hart. He was 75 years old.
Bill grew up in Grand Prairie, Texas. Bill married the love of his life, Glenda Dickenson on June 4th, 1971. Bill and Glenda adopted his beloved deceased sister’s children Candi and Clay in 1979 and raised them as their very own in Desoto and Duncanville. Bill started his career in the banking business as a Vice President of Home Savings and Loan in Garland. He owned his own car business, Bill Hart Auto Sales in Dallas, Texas and also built Bill Hart Boat Stalls and Storage at Cedar Creek Lake. He retired from the car business when he was 55 years old. Then moved to reside in Horseshoe Bay to enjoy the beautiful hill country and golf courses. His hobbies over the years included golf, boating, and snow skiing in Colorado. He loved his time traveling especially to the Hawaiian Islands with his family and friends.
Bill is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 48 years, Glenda Hart of Colleyville, TX, his children Clay Hart of Grapevine, TX and Candi Rains and husband Derek Rains of Plano, TX, and grandchildren, Landry Hart and Conrad Jakova, He was preceded in death by his father L.J. Hart, mother Annie Jo Stephens and stepfather William “Penny” Stephens, Sister Barbara Ann Finley, brothers Jerry Don Hart and Larry Jo Hart.
The memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bill’s favorite charities; Shriner’s, St. Jude, Make a Wish foundation or Alzheimer’s Association.
