Billy Singleton passed away Thursday, October 6, 2016, surrounded by his loving family. Funeral: 3 p.m. Tuesday at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home. Interment follows in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Billy was born November 10, 1931, to Don Singleton and Viola Chavis in McColl, South Carolina. He graduated from McColl High School in 1951. Billy retired from Edison's Jewelers after 22 years of service. Billy loved fishing, golfing and watching the Texas Rangers, but, most of all, Billy was dedicated to his family. Preceding Billy in death are his parents; son, Richard Paul Singleton Sr.; grandson, Richard Paul Singleton Jr.; siblings, Don Singleton Jr. and Merle Harman. Survivors: Beloved wife of 63 years, Noreen Singleton; children, Billy Singleton and wife, Mary, Robert Singleton, Laura "Tiny" Dean and husband, Michael, and Donald Singleton and wife, Shannon; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sisters, Blanche Artibee, Beatrice "Aunt Bea" Polston; and a host of extended family and friends.
