

Brittany Shea Hula of Dallas, Tx passed away on Saturday August 22, 2020 in Dallas, Tx. She was born on July 21, 1987 in Bedford, Tx to Don and Lisa Hula. Brittany will always be remembered as a sweet, innocent, and loving daughter, sister, fiancé, granddaughter, niece, cousin, friend, and colleague to all that knew and loved her.
Brittany graduated with honors from Fossil Ridge HS in Fort Worth in 2005. She attended Texas A&M University and graduated in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. She earned a Masters degree in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M in 2011.
Brittany worked at UT Health Science Center in Houston until she moved to Dallas in 2014. In Dallas she worked at the Retina Foundation of the Southwest where she and her colleagues were recognized in several medical publications for their research into Macular Degeneration. Brittany then moved on to Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas where she did research for the Liver Transplant Program.
When Brittany moved to Dallas, she met her future fiancé Wes Wilcox at the Village Apartments where they both lived. They quickly started a relationship and were together ever since. This year on their anniversary Wes proposed and Brittany happily accepted. Brittany was actively planning their wedding and had just surprised Wes with their wedding bands. Wes meant the world to her and she to him.
Brittany was an avid Star Wars fan and loved going to Comic-Con conventions. She was a big Dallas Cowboys fan and followed all the local professional sports teams. Brittany also enjoyed cooking and scrapbooking, traveling to Las Vegas and Florida with Wes, and road trips with friends to the WinStar.
Brittany is survived by Don and Lisa Hula of Fort Worth, sister Kylie Hula of Bedford, Tx, fiancé Wes Wilcox of Dallas, Tx, grandmothers Judy Hula of Irving, Tx and Zada Scott of Colleyville, Tx. She was preceded in death by grandfathers Kenneth Scott and Ronald Hula, and uncle Michael Davis.
The visitation will be held from 9 – 10 o’clock a.m. on Saturday August 29, 2020 at the funeral home. The Funeral Service will be held at 10 o’clock the same day at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park with a reception to follow in the Bluebonnet Family Lounge.
