

Tommy graduated from Bartlett Highschool in 1969 and graduated from the University of Tennessee in 1974 with a Bachelor's degree of Aeronautical Engineering. Tommy joined the United States Navy SeaBees in 1976. In 1982, he graduated from Texas A&M with a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering. After 22 years of service, Tommy retired from the US Navy and the Navy Reserves.
In 1987, Tommy and Karen were married. Together they had one beautiful daughter, Jennifer Lee. Tommy loved to be active, whether it was his work as an engineer, construction work with the SeaBees, being active at the First United Methodist Church Colleyville, or spending time with his family and friends.
Tommy loved to go to the beach and build sand castles, jet ski, and explore the landscape. While he was not an outdoorsman, Tommy loved to visit the mountains and go skiing. He loved Texas A&M football and basketball and most NCAA sports.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Blanche and Charles Thompson.
Tommy is survived by his wife of 34 years, Karen Thompson; daughter, Jennifer Thompson; grandchildren, Adelyn and Aiden; siblings, Ann Paulsen (John); nephew, John David Paulsen; and many loving extended family and friends.
