Christopher Thomas Warren, born on July 19, 1969, the day before the moon landing, spent his life embodying strength, kindness, and unwavering faith. He grew up in Everett, Washington, where he developed a love for sports, including soccer, basketball, baseball, and wrestling, which he pursued through high school. Chris shared a special bond with his father, fishing together from a young age and passionately discussing college sports and March Madness. He graduated from Cascade High School in 1987 and later earned a BA in Business Management from Western Washington University, working summers at Mid Mountain Contractors to help pay for college.
Chris’s life took him to Tampa, Florida, and eventually to Texas, where everything changed when he met Ceci, the love of his life. Ceci brought joy, strength, and partnership into Chris’s world, and their shared love of sports deepened their bond. As his wife and best friend, Ceci stood faithfully by Chris’s side during his battle with brain cancer, becoming his greatest source of strength and unwavering support.
In recent years, Chris’s faith in God became central to his life, and his relationship with Jesus Christ deepened profoundly, especially after his diagnosis in September. As a member of Bara Church, Chris’s faith grew stronger through every trial he faced. He found peace in the promises of God and often shared his confidence that healing would come—whether on Earth or in Heaven. Chris’s life was a testimony to the hope found in Christ, and even in his hardest moments, his optimism and trust in God inspired those around him.
Chris had a quick wit, a compassionate heart, and a gift for connection, with friends from all walks of life and across the country. You could also say he had a sense of style any man or woman could admire—he loved that! Chris adored his family, especially his granddaughter Genevieve, who brought endless joy to his life. Whether enjoying a meal with Ceci, sharing a conversation with a friend, or simply being present for any of those he loved, Chris left a mark of kindness, humor, and care wherever he went. His family takes comfort in knowing that Chris is now free from pain, worry, and suffering—he is truly at peace.
Chris is survived by his devoted wife Ceci, her sons Luke, Lane, and Lawson Lacy, all of whom he loved deeply; his parents Tom and Judy Warren; his sister Stacey and brother-in-law Randy Ayers; nieces and nephews Kaila Ann, Blake Thomas, Riley, Jena Ayers, Haley, and Lucas Sontra; granddaughter Genevieve, who was the light of his life, and her mother Katie. He also leaves behind his father-in-law Calvin Court, six great-nieces and nephews, and countless friends whose lives he touched. He is preceded in death by his mother-in-law Shirley Court.
On January 14, 2025, Chris passed peacefully into the presence of God, fully healed and free from pain. He often said he was not afraid to die because he knew where he was going and trusted in God’s promise of eternal life. While his absence leaves a deep void, his family and friends take comfort in knowing he is with his Savior and that his faith has been made sight.
Chris’s legacy of love, impeccable style, humor, and most importantly – his faith, will continue to inspire all who knew him. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
A funeral service for Christopher will be held Saturday, January 25, 2025 at 2:00pm at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home, 5725 Colleyville Blvd; Colleyville, TX 76034.
