

Cynthia “Cindy” Maddox was born April 20, 1949, in Ft. Worth to Vic and Barbara Maddox. Her childhood was filled with the wonder days of the fifties at Tandy School and Meadowbrook Jr High. She graduated from Eastern Hills High School, Class of ‘67.
The majority of Cindy’s work career was spent at HEB Hospital where she worked as a purchaser. In later years, the staff at Market Street enjoyed her friendship and talents as she worked as a cake decorator.
These few sentences cannot describe all that Cindy was. Her personality was unique…Quirky, straight forward, so very funny and witty. Cindy was a voracious reader of history and historical novels. Her heart was touched by every animal she ever met. But, most of all, family was her focus. Her pride in her son, daughter and granddaughter was undeniable. Cindy will always be remembered as a devoted mom, a loving and loyal sister, an adoring aunt, and “Cici” to her one and only Meg.
Cindy is survived by her son, Rob Jeter of Houston; daughter, Shannon Jeter of Dallas; granddaughter, Megan Jeter of Dallas; sisters Dolly Wadlington and Debbie Self of N Richland Hills. She also leaves behind nieces and nephews Wendy Wadlington of Decatur; Pat Wadllington of Decatur; Vicki Strand of Lakewood, CO; Robin Amin of Ft. Wayne, IN; David Self of N Richland Hills; Stacey Self of N Richland Hills and 14 great nieces and nephews. Last but not least, she leaves behind her 2 beloved pets, petite cat Judy and big boy cat, Shorty.
