

Service: Friends are cordially invited to celebrate the life of Mr. Peters at 11 a.m. Monday at Richland Hills United Methodist Church, 7301 Glenview Drive, where Darrell and Pat have been members since 2000.
Memorials: In lieu of customary remembrances, family suggest memorials be made to the Leukemia Society; Alzheimer's Association, Fort Worth, Texas; or Richland Hills United Methodist Church.
Darrell was born to Ralph and Mable Peters on March 25, 1939, in Lemars, Iowa. He graduated from East High school and attended Morningside College, graduating with a business degree in 1961. Darrell Wayne married Patricia Ann Murray, June 18, 1960. Mr. Peters enlisted in the Army and served his country from 1961-1963. He worked as director of sales for numerous companies in Iowa, California, and Texas culminating with his retirement in 1999 as the president of Sales, North America, Swedish Match.
Darrell enjoyed his retirement playing golf, working in his garden, chasing his grandchildren, Jake, A.J., Laney and Luke, and being chased by his dog, Chessie.
Survivors: Mr. Peters is survived by his wife, Patricia; his son, David Peters; his son, Brian Peters and daughter-in-law, Marcie Peters; and his daughter, Cathi Rios and son-in-law, Col. Edward Rios. Surviving siblings are his sisters, Diane Boisen and Karen Merrick; his brother, Keith Peters; and many cherished nieces, nephews and extended family.
