

Donna Lynn Griffin was known as many things to many people. She was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew her best, Donna will be remembered as a very exceptional person.
She was the daughter of Patricia Hawkins.
Donna was raised with two siblings. She had two brothers; James and Rick. Donna was usually involved in all sorts of activities with her siblings. She and her siblings experienced rivalries typical of a growing family, but they shared many life experiences over the years.
Empathic and loyal, Donna was committed to making her new family happy.
Donna worked hard to be a good mother to her children and she did her best to fulfill their needs. Donna was blessed with two sons, two sons; Michael and Andrew. Another blessing for Donna was the gift of two grandchildren, Alec and Holland.
Fortunately, Donna enjoyed what she did for a living. Showing a strong work ethic, Donna worked diligently and did her best to succeed in her career. A lifelong love affair with first-graders was her ministry until early retirement due to diabetes complications. She loved people and was actively involved with education. As a member of the Everman school board, she considered board members her family. Donna always sought to be a team player, doing what was necessary in order to get the job done.
Donna passed away on January 28, 2016 at Fort Worth, Texas. She is survived by her husband, Bob of Fort Worth; sons, Michael and wife, Barbara, and Andrew and wife, Gibben; grandchildren, Alec and Holland; mother, Patricia Hawkins of Bedford; brothers, James and wife, Leah, and Rick and wife, Beverly, all of Bedford; and many nieces and nephews. Services were held at First Baptist Church in Everman, Texas. Donna was laid to rest in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park in Colleyville, Texas.
Simply stated, Donna was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by her family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Donna leaves behind her a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life she touched will always remember Donna Lynn Griffin.

Donna Lynn Hawkins Griffin, 64, passed away Thursday, Jan. 28, 2016. Memorial service: 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 4, at First Baptist Church, 501 W. Barron Ave., Everman. Private interment: Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home. She was a very loved wife, mother and grandmother and will be missed, but we know she is at peace with our heavenly Father.
