

Elizabeth Ann Bowyer was known as many things to many people. She was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew her best, Elizabeth will be remembered as a very exceptional person.
She was the daughter of Jesse and Verna Horn. She was born in Altus, Oklahoma.
During High School, Elizabeth spent several years in school in Ethopia. Her parents were commissioned by President Roosevelt to teach soil conservation to the Ethiopian government.
Elizabeth was raised with one sister Margaret and one brother Don. Elizabeth was usually involved in all sorts of activities with her siblings. She and her siblings shared many life experiences over the years.
She taught at several schools including J.P. Elder Middle School and Gunn Junior High School where she retired as a Special Education teacher.
Elizabeth loved to tend her flower gardens, travel, scrapbook and play bridge.
Elizabeth worked hard to be a good mother to her children and she did her best to fulfill their needs. Elizabeth was blessed with one son, Larry,one daughter, Sherry and one step-son, Dan. Another blessing for Elizabeth was the gift of six grandchildren and one great-grandson, Andrew, Daniel, Kendalyn, Neal, Benjamin, Danielle, and David.
Elizabeth passed away on October 3, 2016 in Southlake, Texas. Services were held at Bluebonent Hills Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Colleyville, Texas. Elizabeth was laid to rest in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park in Colleyville, Texas.
Simply stated, Elizabeth was an individual who will for all time be remembered by her family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Elizabeth leaves behind her a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Elizabeth was a devoted teacher, mother and wife. She was loved and will be missed.
