

Emeline Pauni Maile, 73, of Euless passed away on Tuesday, December 14, 2021. She was born in Ha’alaufuli, Vava'u, Tonga on September 21, 1948 to Emili Pauni and Luseane Otuafi. Emeline was the third eldest of fifteen children: Maile Wilson (Peuli Taukitoku), Selelati Hengehenga (Lui Hoeft), Nancy Arvidson (Artie), Sione Pauni (Siu), Valu Pauni (Vika), Fauniteni Pauni (Seneti), Fa Pauni, Sioeli Metui Pauni (Kakala), Haloti Pauni (Sinai), Leihua Hemaloto (Inoke), Kaufoou Taukiuvea (Sitiveni), Esita Pauni (Sepeti Uesi), Lopi Pauni (Roxanne), and Ema Corona (Jose).
Emeline graduated from Liahona High School in Tonga before journeying to America. After arriving in the United States, she met her husband and married Aisea Maile of Nukunuku, Tonga on June 9, 1979 in Reno, Nevada. They were later sealed for all time and eternity in the Dallas Texas Temple.
Emeline worked for many years as a caregiver and dedicated her life to serving her faith, family, and community. She was a devout member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She served as an ordinance worker in the Dallas Temple for many years and served as a young women’s and primary president as well as a Sunday School teacher in her ward over the years. Some of her favorite hobbies included singing, dancing, crocheting, and enjoying her grandchildren.
Emeline is survived by her husband, Aisea; children, Eniti Ngaluafe (Tuifua), Katea Taunaholo (Koloti), Solokini Nau (Betsy), Leilani Otuafi, Aisea Maafu (Ofa), and Malini Maile (Ilaisaane); grandchildren,
Emlee Li’a Wilson, Emileen Wilson, Mele Afuhaamango, Melesimani, Ngaluafe, Katea Ngaluafe, Haniteli Ngaluafe, Umukisia Taunaholo, Takaimofa’e Taunaholo, Niulala Taunaholo, Simote Taunaholo, Hulitae Vaivaka, Ma’ata Vaivaka, Tinivia Vaivaka, Mahonri Nau, Manase Nau, Viliami Nau, Sela Maafu, Mana Maafu, Kristi Maafu, Foukimoana Maafu, Tilila Maafu, Finau Maafu, and Kitione Maile; great-grandchildren, Tulekafale’aloa Taunaholo, Adalia Taunaholo, MapaHa’ano Taunaholo, and Samisoni Puli’uvea.
