Frances Anna Hopper

Frances was born September 11th, 1937 in Cameron, TX. She married Jim Hopper in 1964. Together they bought some property in S. Arlington and she resided there until 2021 when she moved into an assisted living facility. She was a devout member of St. Joseph Catholic church in Arlington and enjoyed signing in the choir. Frances loved going to Rangers games, watching sports (Dallas Cowboys, Mavericks, Stars and UT Football) on TV. She had a passion for cats and wildlife, and was an active supporter of multiple animal causes. She also enjoyed cross-stitching and crocheting.

Frances is preceded in death by her parents, William Joseph and Bertha (Struhall) Michalka; her husband Jim Hopper; two brothers, Billie Jo and Charles Michalka; and two sisters, Lilian Kruse and Beatrice Needels.

She is survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Also, a special thank you to the members of Bethesda Assisted Living- Arlington and Monarch Hospice who took such loving care of Frances.

A visitation for Frances will be held Thursday, June 8, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 5725 Colleyville Blvd, Colleyville, Texas 76034. A funeral service will occur Friday, June 9, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at St Joseph Roman Catholic Parish, 1927 SW Green Oaks Blvd, Arlington, TX 76017. A graveside service will occur Friday, June 9, 2023 from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park, 5725 Colleyville Blvd, Colleyville, Texas 76034.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the SPCA or your local animal shelter.
