

Freda was born at Cleburne, Texas and lived at Bono until 1937 when her family moved to Carroll, Texas. She attended Grapevine HS until she married Pvt. Edward Luther Neal Dec. 8, 1944. She waited for her husband's return from WWII in Fort Worth, Texas. She lived in Fort Worth until retirement in 1985. She retired with her husband to the Horseshoe Bend community in South Parker County. She moved into Brookdale Assisted Senior Living in Richland Hills in November 2014 and Passed at Heartland Senior Living and Rehab Center. Freda was Baptised as a child and member of the Lonesome Dove Baptist Church in Carroll. She enjoyed softball and track at Grapevine High School. Her girlfriend, Merril Dean Tate, introduced Freda and their friend Norma to Merril's two young uncles, Edward Neal, who married Freda and his brother, Lawerence Neal, who married Norma. The three girls remained close friends for a lifetime. Freda had two sons, Larry and Tony. She was active in the PTA at D. Mc. Rae elementary school, was a Cub Scout Den Mother and sold Avon Cosmetics. She worked for Leonard Bros. Dept. Store as a salesclerk, Supervisor, Manager and Buyer until 1976. She worked for Monnigs Dept. Store as a Buyer of Housewares, Gifts and China until she retired in 1985. She enjoyed Fishing, traveling and gardening during her retirement. She was active in the HSB Association and Fire Auxillary. She was widowed in Jan. 1999 and continued to live at HSB until 2014. Survived by: Brother-in-law, James Marsh of Cheney, Washington; Brother, Gerald Sanders and his wife, Sara of Farmers Branch; Sister, Cherry Gwendolyn (Sanders) Crow and her husband Wesley of Euless; Brother, David Randy Sanders of Grapevine; Son, Larry D. Neal of Hurst, and his former wife, Edie (Hedberg) Neal of Hurst; Son, Tony A. Neal and his Wife, Caroll (Jumper) of Fort Worth; Tony's former Wives Jimmie Sue Hankins and Ginny Syring; Grandchildren: Mary (Neal) Borden and husband Randall of North Richland Hills; Scott Neal; Rene' (Neal) Dodd and her husband Raymond of Lake Worth; Kristy Neal of Tyler; Brad Neal and his wife Sheryl of Weatherford; Carol's son's Douglas Jumper and Tyler Jumper; 12 Great Grand Children and 5 Great Great Grand Children.
