Gaylord Keith Johnson, 71, passed away Saturday, Jan. 10, 2015, at a local hospital. Funeral: Friends are cordially invited to attend the service at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home, 5721 Colleyville Blvd., Colleyville, with Dr. Nathan Tucker from Alliance Christian Fellowship Church officiating. Visitation: Friends and family will gather 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the Cherry Drawing Room of Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home to share memories with the family. Gaylord was born to Elmer Everett and Ola Mae Brock Johnson on Jan. 2, 1944, in Fort Worth. His children are quoted as saying their father was one of the best single dads, raising all four children with love and support every day of their lives. Gaylord retired from General Motors after many years of faithful service. He was preceded in death by his son, David Johnson. Survivors: He leaves behind his children, Debbie Grigg and her husband, Don, Greg Johnson and Steven Johnson and his partner, Jay Cheek; brother, Derrell Johnson; grandchildren, Josey, Mansie, Samuel, Shelby and Lexie; great-grandchild, McKinsey; and several nieces and nephews.
