Memorial service: 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 18, at Fellowship of the Parks, Keller.
Gene was born on May 21, 1931, in Birmingham, Ala., to Eulgar and Jessie Mae Kingsley. Gene and his wife served as missionaries for 27 years in Malawi, Africa, formerly known as Nyasaland, and Zimbabwe, formerly known as Rhodesia. He was a church developer and teacher. The Lord used Gene to start the first non-racial and bilingual church in Malawi. Gene was a member of the Greater Southwest Aero Modelers, North Texas Camera Club and the Sonata Club at TCC.
Those preceding Gene in death are his parents and son, Kyle Kingsley.
Survivors: Gene's bride of 62 years, Beverly Lee Geisendorff Kingsley; children, Col. Paul Kirk Kingsley and wife, Laura, Artmann Kingsley, Cmdr. Keith Kingsley and wife, Belinda Senter Kingsley, and Karon Gopffarth and husband, Robert Gopffarth; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
