George was born on March 11, 1944 to parents Cody Roy Jones and Elizabeth Myrtle Burk Jones. George was a devout Christian and had an unrelenting faith. He had a love for music and participated in the music ministry of the churches where he was a member. George developed a love for quilting because it was one of his wife’s passions. It became one of his own and he volunteered many hours to Quilts of Valor. George is preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Debbi. George is survived by close family friends Patty and Walt King; Pastor Randy Grosenbach and his Church Family of Haltom City Christian Church; Debbi’s Children, Judi (Robert) Homan of Memphis, Tennessee and Joe (Melissa) Bryant of The Colony, Texas; and grandchildren.
