He was born January 24, 1927, in Abilene, TX to William E and Roxie A (Rushing) Neill and married the love of his life Inez S Reynolds, in July 1952.
Early in life, George served in the Army down in Panama, after 30 years he retired from General Motors, was a founding member of the Stump Jumpers motorcycle club, was instrumental in creating Mosier Valley raceway, and traveled his home state on his motorcycle, taking pictures everywhere he went. He made sure his family was involved in many events such as motorcycle hill climbs, motocross, and just plain old trail riding through the woods and pastures. He also loved vegetable gardening. When his backyard was full of vegetable plants, he started putting them into pots and placing them on the patio. Another joy in his life was fishing and passing that joy down to his children. In the later part of his life, drawing began to take up most of his life, but there was always time to watch the Cowboys or the Texas Rangers, calling his sons during the game to discuss what is wrong with the teams.
George was proceeded in death by his parents, wife, grandsons Andrew G McConnico, Steven Euwings, Stephfun Smith, and 2 brothers: Bobby Joe Neill and Russell Neill.
Those left to keep his memories alive are his sister Margie Gaede, four sons; Joe Neill, Ronald Neill and his wife Tanya, Jimmy Neill and his wife Jennifer, and Mark Neill and his wife Dottie, 2 daughters; Martha Phillips and husband John, and Rosemary Rene Neill, he will be especially missed by his many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchild. Also survived by his best friend, Bill Simpson.
