George John Novakov Jr.

He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, Papa, friend and educator to all that knew and loved him. He was born on April 1, 1945, New Orleans, Louisiana to George Novakov Sr. and Gloria Novakov Frost.

George began his 40-year career at Edna Karr Junior High School as a teacher and continued his career as an administrator as Karr excelled to a Magnet School. His time at Karr was interrupted and ceased due to Hurricane Katrina. If not, he would still be working at Karr, which he always called his second home. Although, his career ended, George continued to touch the lives of everyone that he came into contact with. Anyone who met George was never a friend, they became family.

George was affectionately known by the many nicknames of Georgie, Dad, Daddy, Papa and Mr. Nov.
