Revelation 21: 4 And He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away.
The family of Gregory Hugh Jones is saddened to announce his passing on March, 6 2020 at the age of 37. Greg was the son of Howard and Sandra Jones of Amelia Island, Florida; husband of Jeanine LaMay Jones of Colleyville, Texas; father of Hugh Daniel and Elle Marie Jones; brother of Stephen Randle and Douglas Hanson Jones; and friend to many.
Greg was born in Fairfax County, Virginia on April 3, 1982 and soon afterwards was baptized in his father’s hometown of Houghton, South Dakota. He grew up an all-American boy excelling in academics and sports. Following high school, Greg’s talent in baseball took him to Emory University where he enjoyed being a pitcher and was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon. Upon graduation in 2004, Greg headed west to California to establish his career in financial planning. It was there he met his future wife, Jeanine. They were married on December 26, 2012 in his parents’ home church, Good Shepherd Lutheran in Herndon, Virginia.
Greg and Jeanine’s successful careers took them from California to Denver, Colorado in 2014 (where their son, Hugh, was born) and then to North Texas in 2016 (where their daughter, Elle, was born). Upon arriving in Texas, the Jones family became members of White’s Chapel United Methodist Church in Southlake and it is there the funeral services will be held. Details are below.
Greg is thankfully now at rest in the arms of our Lord. As the family will hold him close in their hearts, they ask you to do the same.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to White’s Chapel UMC https://www.whiteschapelumc.com/give.html and the family asks you keep the in your prayers, spend time with your loved ones, take a walk on the beach, go to a baseball game, throw the Frisbee with your dog, and treasure your friends and family.
