Hampton "Hamp" Hayner

Hamp was a “Do it yourselfer” adding on and on and on to his house. He loved to travel in his own plane as a young man. He loved to read, listen to music, watch science, nature shows, British comedies and the Dallas Cowboys. His friends will be happy to know that the last thing he had to eat was Blue Bell ice cream.

Hamp proudly served in the United States Armed Forces as a sharp shooter and was a Korean War veteran. Hamp was a great husband, father. He loved God, his family, his church family and his country.

He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hampton H. Hayner and Ruby Dorothy Hayner.

Cherishing his memory are his wife of 60 years, Bertha (Bertie) Hayner; daughters Michelle Hayner, Connie Walsh and Patty Leimer, 4 granddaughters and one sister Billie June Levy of Pembroke Pines, FL

A Celebration of Hamp’s life will be held at 12:30pm, Friday, February 12, 2021 at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home.

Burial will follow at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park.
