Hal was born November 14, 1927, in Conway, Kentucky to Walter and Eva Beldon. He was a top Kentucky high school athlete his junior and senior years. Hal’s most rewarding job at the North Central Texas Council of Governments allowed him to assist students in pursuing vocational and technical careers. For 40 years he served his community as an umpire for college and high school baseball and girls’ softball.
Hal was preceded in death by his wife Marilyn of 63 years; his parents; and his brother.
Survivors: His children and their spouses, Doug Beldon and his wife Lisa, Denise McGraw and her husband Tim; Diane Robertson and her husband Paul; four grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
