

Jack Hardy Bryant, age 83, passed away at his home on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 after a long illness. Visitation: 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. Friday, June 2, 2017. Funeral: 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 3, 2017 both services are at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Chapel. He was born on August 31, 1933 to the late C.B. “Jack” and Lottie Bell Bryant. Jack spent the majority of his youth in Wichita Falls, TX. He graduated from Wichita Falls Sr. High at the age of 16 where he lettered in baseball and excelled in journalism. He was sports editor for the Wichita Record News. Jack attended Midwestern University for 2 years before moving to Irving, TX in 1952 to begin a lengthy career as a concrete contractor. He married Lorita Ann Raines on May 28, 1955. He founded Jack H. Bryant Inc. in 1959. Jack is preceded in death by his sister Mary Whaley, nephew Bradford Whaley, brother-in-law Carl Horn and parents. Jack is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years Lorita; daughter Julie; son Jack Jr. and wife Tricia; son James “Bo” and wife Angie; and son Joseph. He is survived by 5 grandchildren Wesley, Travis, Catherine and husband C.J., Annie and Brooke as well as his great grandson, Wyatt Hardy Phillip. He is also survived by sister JoAnn Horn, brother Dan and wife Vicki, two nephews and two nieces. The family would like to thank Tender Heart Hospice, especially Emily, Chrystal and Gloria for their loving care and support.
