In Loving Memory

Jack Neal Wood, 81, of Plano, Texas, passed away peacefully at his home on April 28, 2026. Born on September 28, 1944, in Texarkana, Arkansas, Jack lived a long and meaningful life defined by love, integrity, and unwavering devotion to his family.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Wood, mother Elizabeth Wood, and sister Melanie Wood.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Johnnie Wood; his son, Kyle Wood and wife Jessica Wood, and their children, Alexandria, Ayden, Phoenix, Jack II, and Noah; his son, Kevin Wood; his daughter, Lauren Cline and husband Rick Cline, and their son, Asher; his sister, Suellen Tate and husband Jim.

Jack grew up in Texarkana, where he developed the values of hard work, dependability, and perseverance that would remain with him throughout his life. He graduated from the University of Arkansas in 1966, and enjoyed a life-long career in insurance, retiring from both Aetna and EMC Insurance.

A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Jack was the ultimate family man. His family meant everything to him. Warm, genuine, kind, and dependable, he led by example with quiet strength, humility, kindness, and unwavering loyalty. He found joy in horse racing, loved animals, and especially treasured time spent watching his grandchildren grow and flourish.

Those who knew and loved Jack find comfort in remembering that he lived a long, full, and honorable life, and that he is now home with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, free from pain and at peace. His memory will remain a blessing, and his legacy of love, humility, and strength will continue in all who knew him.

A funeral service for family and close friends will be held on May 3, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home, with graveside service to follow.
