

Joy, as she was known by everyone, was born in San Antonio, TX to Lorand and Lucille Hurley (née Yarborough) on September 27, 1952.
Joy graduated from Edison High School in San Antonio, TX and went on to obtain her LPN license.
Joy worked as an LPN for over 18 years, starting in labor and delivery and then the remainder of her nursing career was in geriatrics.
Joy married the love of her life, David Ditter on January 10th, 1996. She took a few years off from work and then began working with women and children at the Ogden Rescue Mission, in Ogden, UT. In 2003, she started working at Walmart, which she loved. Joy was employed with Walmart until 2023.
Joy attended Peace Lutheran Church with her daughter and family. She loved the Lord and served Him faithfully all of her life. Over the years, she served as Church treasurer, janitor, Nursery worker, and anywhere she was needed. Joy also had a deep love for music and was always involved in choir.
She is survived by her son Travis Noblett and daughter-in-law, Tatum Noblett of Haslet, her daughter Rebecca Swinney and son-in law Christopher Swinney of Jacksboro, 7 grandchildren, 5 step-grandchildren, and several great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lorand and Lucille Hurley and her husband David Ditter.
The details of Joy's memorial service are yet to be determined.
