

James was born on November 23, 1929, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the son of Samuel and Selina Watson.
He graduated from Rufus King High School and worked at the Allen-Bradley Co. as a Control Engineer in Milwaukee for over 40 years, before retiring in 1988. James also proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1951 to 1954.
He was united in marriage to Alice on April 28, 1956, and together they raised four children. James was a dedicated husband and father whose priority was always his family.
James is survived by his loving wife, Alice; sisters Elaine (Thomas) Ewing, and Patricia (George) Rublein; children Kathleen (Benjamin) Swinford, Thomas (Lisa) Watson, David (Susan) Watson, and Timothy (Eryn) Watson; grandchildren Bryan (Meaghan), Brett (Claire), Jeffrey (Elizabeth), Samuel, Allison, Elijah, Nathanael and Lydia: and great-grandchildren Olivia, Charlotte, Dallas and Andre. James was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Selina and sister Alice.
A mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, November 22 at St. Francis Assisi Catholic Church, 861 Wildwood Lane in Grapevine, TX.
A gathering of family and friends will be held immediately following the service at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home, 5725 Colleyville Blvd., Colleyville, TX.
James will be buried at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery with military honors.
